An Energy conservation and its implementation project was undertaken at Infosys Technologies for its software development centers at Bangalore for building module nos. B14/15 and B16/17. Major energy savings were achieved through Process Optimization which is a NO-COST implementation measure. Please visit "Making of a Green Building Code" for its methodology. While accounting for the energy savings 6-months before, and 6-months after the energy audit project, the building's load, occupancy and power consumption shot up by 64% due to surge in IT business then in the year 2003. Energy saving result was thus estimated, and verified by Infosys at 14%.
